At Chichen Itza

Shadow snakes
come to worship
this singularity
of space and time.
Purge darkness and
the days of wanting
days of waiting
hungry times.
Feast upon the
golden grains
and smooth bronzed skin
of youth bursting
exuberance and sex.
Diminishing returns
pyramid downwards
to the body's
only destiny.
Pinnacular
celebration
explodes briefly
against eternal black.
