Morpheus' Coquette or Portrait of Imperfection

Woman With Long Hair, by Man Ray

Man prefers his woman thus
reclined eyes closed and poised for lust
Lost in her long flowing locks
Lost in her soft wanting kiss
He thus remains unknown

Keep her distant and beautiful
Keep her not quite attainable
His golden goddess of potent fantasies
Shaped into being by untamed yearnings
Woman for Man's amusement
but never the faithful confidant

Asleep fair princess dream of him
In your subconscious he is all things
you long for in a devoted lover
Allow him to penetrate your inner world
and share your primal passions
Swallow intoxicating delusions
Let mutual orgasm render oblivion

Possess the illusion
Ignore disillusion
Keep the eyes wide shut
Red lips strong hands
rock hard quivering thighs
keep the eyes closed tight

In the dark in the shadows
the unspeakable’s heard
His hidden desires
spawn wanton surrender
Still shameful secrets lay buried
In a coffin known only to him

The unspoken promise not to look
when the dreams come to an end
You dare not examine the dreamer at all
You dare not discover his truth

She is an object
To keep in a box
take out at his pleasure
lock away when all done
So long as she cannot perceive
He needn't see what he is

Her eyes closed thus
She is sublimely surreal
Blink! The spell is broken.
